Child-friendly PHCs

Shidori - Poshanachi

We propose to do a pilot of this project in one PHC from each of the six revenue regions of Maharashtra, namely, Konkan, Nasik, Pune, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur. This initiative will involve the MLA representing the same block where PHC is located, local health and administration officials, Unicef and Sampark. It has already begun in Guhagar in Konkan and talks are on elsewhere.

This is another project initiated with the involvement of Mumbai Svayampakghar, a FB group promoting recipes and the ICDS department and of course UNICEF. The idea is to bring together on the virtual platform of Face Book, the Anganwadi workers responsible to provide nutricious food to children and the urban food enthusiasts so that ideas are shared and new, novel recipes emerge which will promote the provision of nutrition to children in Anganwadis.

We started face book community pages in different constituencies of Maharashtra, to create a platform where the elected representative and people from the constituency could interact in these difficult Covid19 times, to resolve issues specific to that area. We are also using these groups to post material shared by UNICEF.
